wepursuearecostoptimisationandimprovedoperationaleciency,andthusimprovedprotability.

2.3PlansofthePoštaSlovenijeGroupin2019
WeareplanningthecontinuedgrowthofthePoštaSlovenijeGroupin2019,changesintheenvironment,
e-substitutionandchangesincustomers’habits.Thefollowingobjectivesweresetfor2019:

ThePoštaSlovenijeGroup’splanfor2019envisages2%growthinoperatingrevenuesastheresultofthe
introductionofnewservices,primarilyintheparcel,logisticsandITservicesegments,andthroughthe
implementationofstrategicprojects.Thatplanalsoenvisages2%growthinoperatingexpenses.

ThePoštaSlovenijeGroupisplanningROEof5.3%andanEBITDAmarginof11.5%,inlinewiththeexpectations
of the owner.
Thevolumeofpostalandnancialserviceshasbeenindeclineinrecentyears,whilethestructureofsuch
shipmentsisalsochangingduetothemigrationtoe-operations,legislativechanges,changingcustomerhabitsand
competitiononthepostalandnancialservicesmarket.Similartrendsarealsopresentatotherpostaloperators
intheEUandaroundtheglobe.
Astheresultofmarketgrowth(particularlyinonlinesales)andsalesactivities,weareplanninggrowthinthenumber
of parceltransactions.Whenupgradingexistingservicesanddevelopingnewservices,wefollowglobaltrends,
bestpracticesandtheneedsofusers,bothasaddresseesandsenders,toensuretherequisitelevelofquality.
Weareplanningnewtransactionsintheareasoflogisticsservices(warehousing,commissioningofgoods,
expansiontonewmarketsandsectors,etc.),supplychainsandlogisticsforfoodstus,whereadditionaldevelopment
activitiesarealsofocused.
Givengrowthtrendsinparcelandlogisticsservicesandthee-commercesegment,wewillexpandthecapacities
ofbothmailsortingandlogisticscentres,andbuildadditionalwarehousingandtranshipmentcapacitiesat
transhipmentandlogisticspostoces.
Followingtheinstallationofanewparcelsortingmachinein2018,weareplanningadditionalinvestmentsaimed
atthemodernisation(automationandrobotisation)ofparcelandlettersorting,andthecomputerisationoflogistics
processes,inordertomakeourworkmoreecient.Anew,thirdlinedevicewaspurchasedattheendof2018for
thefoldingandmachinesortingofunaddresseddirectmail(hereinafter:UDM),whichin2019willbeincludedin
thefoldingofsetsofUDM.WewillthusensurethatUDMisfoldedforallpostoces.
Wewillupgradetheportfolioofserviceswithnewservicessuchasletterswithtrackingforsendinggoodsand
documentsintheinternationalmailsegment(withouttherecipient’ssignature),throughtheestablishmentof
ane-senderorderserviceforthecontractualusersofPoštaSlovenije’sservices.Wewillcontinuetoexpandthe
24/7automatedpostaloutletnetworkandtheaccessibilityofpostalservicesthroughtheinclusionofnewservice
stations.Thoseactivitieswillbefollowedbymarketing-communicationactivities,inthescopeofwhichwewill
organisevariouscampaignstosupportsalesactivitieswiththehelpofdierenttools(printmedia,digitalmedia,
TVandradio).Wewillalsoincludenew,contemporaryformsofadvertisinginthemarket-communicationstrategy
in the future.
